Plot:

Beauty, a young girl who is very self concious about her looks, has no friends, and also dreads her name. She lives in fear when her dad is home. Her sweet, lovely mom also feels the same. After an unbearable birthday, and Dad is out of control, Beauty and her mother run away. They find a beautiful house in a seaside resort and they happily adjust to make each other happy.

Opinion:

I love this book!

It was the beginning of my love for Jacqueline Wilson’s books!

I just couldn’t put this book down! I’m not going to lie, I couldn’t quite understand this book when I started. I was only 8 (and a half) when I first opened it. But I’m so glad I did!

I just love Beauty, with her gentle nature. And her mother, who everyone thinks of as a stupid babe.

This book is amazing. Its like a roller coaster.

When you start out you feel like it’s just an ordinary book. But when you finish, your in tears. Your screaming for a sequel. You just want to know more about this book.

Trust me on this one folks! You will not be able to put this one down. 🙂
